Project Overview:

The project involves rewriting the central file management application 'Laurentide', currently in VB6, to C# (back end) and Angular (front end). The application is built on an Oracle database, which needs to be migrated to SQL Server. The new application and database will be hosted in a Microsoft Azure environment, utilizing Microsoft technology (DevOps, .NET). The project is part of a broader E-migration program aimed at digitizing asylum and migration procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with architectural principles of the eMigration program.

• Implement the Laurentide solution according to the architectural design document (SAD).
• Identify deviations and submit them to the Architecture Board for approval.
• Provide instructions to developers and check the conformity of front-end and back-end applications.
• Supervise integration of the solution on the eMigration platform (Microsoft Azure cloud).
• Define data architecture and monitor its implementation.
• Ensure documentation is prepared by the development team.
• Organize and lead stand-up meetings and assist the project manager with sprints.
• Support the project manager in planning back-end and front-end development.
• Develop the back-end part of the Laurentide application in collaboration with an internal developer.
• Deliver applications with impeccable code.
• Migrate the Oracle database to SQL Server.
• Adhere to agreed deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with the development team and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Participate in the integration of developed APIs into the eMigration platforms.
• Define scenarios for automated testing and assist in end-user tests.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Knowledge of Belgian authorities responsible for asylum and migration and relevant procedures is required.

• Experience in solution architecture, particularly with Microsoft Azure, C#, Angular, and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and integration.
• Proven ability to lead development teams and manage project timelines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and/or French, plus English.
