Senior Business Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to ensure the full delivery of several challenging projects within a Future Platforms program. At the start of the assignment, the focus will be on the modernization and functional evolution of FlexHub 2.0 and on new initiatives in the flexibility market beyond FlexHub. Additional projects may be assigned depending on the roadmap.

Key Initiatives:

• FlexHub 2.0 Modernization: Transform the existing FlexHub environment into a more automated, scalable, and industrialized platform. Activities include functional evolution, higher SLA targets, interface improvements with external parties, and preparation for future flexibility products.
• MG Flex Evolution: Further development, integration, and industrialization of the existing MG Flex component within FlexHub, ensuring its readiness for new flexibility products and processes. This includes alignment with TSOs, DSOs, and (Flexibility) Suppliers, evolution of the data models and interfaces, and improved operational governance.
• Future Flex Initiatives: Coordinate and deliver new flexibility-related initiatives as part of the roadmap, focusing on innovation, interoperability, and alignment with evolving market needs and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Write Project Briefs or Project Definitions.
• Plan & Coordinate scope, timing, and resources.
• Manage dependencies inside and between projects.
• Coordinate project members, IT teams, and business experts.
• Detect and mitigate risks and issues.
• Manage project communication and reporting to stakeholders.
• Follow up and update the business case (scope, budget, alignment with sponsors).
• Guarantee the quality of deliverables and corporate process compliance.
• Analyze and handle change requests.
• Act as the first contact point for the project sponsor.
• Create buy-in and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
• Manage contractors/vendors (Time & Material and fixed-price contracts).
• Support procurement activities, including the preparation and coordination of RFPs, vendor selection, and contracting in collaboration with internal governance and sourcing teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in leading and guiding projects (5 years minimum).
• Experience with PM methodology (e.g., Prince2, PMBok).
• Energy Market experience (10 years minimum).
• DevOps/Agile Delivery experience in hybrid Agile & Waterfall environments (10 years minimum).
• Energy Market Facilitation experience in multi-stakeholder workshops (10 years minimum).
• Understanding of Flexibility Markets & MG Flex governance and context.
• Leading SAFe certification.
• MG Flex Project coordination experience.
• Knowledge of MIG4/MIG6/MIG DGO market processes and dependencies (10 years minimum).
• Prince2 certification (Foundation or Practitioner).
• Procurement & RFP Management experience.
• Project Management experience in complex IT and business projects (10 years minimum).
• Scrum/Agile Certification (Professional Scrum Master, etc.).
• English proficiency at European CEFR Level B2.
• Dutch or French proficiency at European CEFR Level C1.

Desired Skills:

• Coaching Team Members and supervision of cross-functional teams.
• Content knowledge in Billing & Settlement (7 years minimum).
• Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with a technical/engineering background or equivalent experience.
• ITIL® Foundation certification.
• TOGAF Foundation certification.
• Digital Transformation project management experience.
