Job Opportunity: Medior/Senior Business Analysts

Start Date: February 2, 2026

End Date: End of 2026, with an option for extension

Work Arrangement: Full-time, 2 days per week on-site in Brussels city center, and 3 days per week remote work possible

Role Description:

As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the key link between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective technical solutions. You will analyze processes, gather requirements, and support the implementation of systems that enable operational efficiency and strategic objectives. This role requires a mindset of continuous improvement—remaining curious, respectfully critical, and never settling for “we’ve always done it this way.” You will challenge assumptions constructively and collaborate closely with stakeholders to design smarter, future-ready processes.

Core Responsibilities:

• Business Process Modelling:
  • Analyze end-to-end business processes and model them in a structured and effective way, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and BPMN methodology.
  • Take a step back to analyze existing business processes for improvements.
  • Explore ways to improve business architecture in collaboration with business architects.
• Information Modelling:
  • Structure and represent business concepts clearly and consistently using UML class diagrams.
  • Introduce new business concepts, propose precise definitions, and refine existing ones.
• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
  • Elicit, clarify, and prioritize business and solution requirements both functional and non-functional within an Agile framework.
  • Facilitate workshops, refine user stories, and ensure requirements are well-understood and actionable.
• Solution Design & Validation:
  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect to ensure solutions meet business requirements and objectives sustainably.
  • Represent and safeguard the business architecture during solution design.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Formulate and execute testing activities to ensure quality and alignment with business requirements.
  • Write clear and comprehensive test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Documentation:
  • Create clear, structured, and accurate documentation that supports business processes, requirements, and solution design.
  • Improve documentation practices within the team.
• Leadership:
  • Take ownership and leadership in realizing business needs in alignment with the business architecture.
  • Actively propose improvements and drive them to implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in business analysis and requirements documentation.
• Strong understanding of Business Analysis methods (BABOK, UML, BPMN) and their value in software development.
• Experience in Agile product working.
• Knowledge of Archimate is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English and either French or Dutch (with good knowledge of the other language).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex situations into manageable components.
• Strong collaborative mindset combined with a constructive, critical approach.
