The client aims to develop a modern infrastructure for delivering geographic data via OGC APIs, as a complement to the existing infrastructure for OGC web services (WMS, WMTS, WFS). This new technology must be:
High-performing: fast response times and able to handle high load.
Reliable: stable and fault-tolerant.
Scalable: prepared for future growth and expansion.
The OGC APIs will contribute to:
Compliance with European regulations on Open Data, PSI (Public Sector Information), and High Value Datasets.
Facilitating application development, both internally and externally.
Gradually replacing older OGC standards.
Architecture and design of the OGC API solution.
Implementation and configuration of the infrastructure.
Optimization for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Active participation in development (hands-on).
Maximum 120 working days. This is an upper limit; depending on the availability and competencies of internal staff, the actual number of days required may be lower.
GIS API Architect with proven experience in:
Design and implementation of API architectures.
(OGC) API standards and geodata infrastructures.
Hands-on development and configuration.
Knowledge of cloud and container technologies.
Experience with API performance optimization and security.
