For 1 of our clients we are looking for a Software Architect

 

Role:

We are building the foundation for next-generation GenAI solutions. Our team designs, develops, and maintains the core components and services that empower business partners to create innovative, agent-driven value cases.
As the software architect of the GenAI platform team, you will be involved in creating technical designs, maintaining an architectural overview and setting the technical roadmap for both the platform team itself and the broader project. The focus will mainly be on the main software stack – TypeScript, .NET and Python – and agentic reasoning engine – LangGraph / LangChain – but will also include integrations with third-party sources and Azure cloud infrastructure.

Tasks:

• Set architectural standards and help define the required processes to maintain a system wide architectural overview
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software design, security, and performance optimization
• Design modular, scalable systems including frontend, backend, data pipelines, and AI agent orchestration
• Design supporting services for agentic systems, e.g. context pipelines, soft guardrailing / policies and evaluation
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, cloud infrastructure, and frameworks
• Define and implement a unified data access layer for agents together with the various data teams to discover, access and reason over siloed data sources while keeping IT best practices in mind
• Collaborate with product, data science, development, architecture and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical roadmaps
• Help define and maintain a multi-year technical product and platform roadmap to create a company wide GenAI / agentic platform
• Support in the setup of proof-of-concepts and define concrete strategies to evolve to a production ready deliverable

Profile:

Required:
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise scale-software applications
• 3+ years in a software, solutions or (Gen)AI architect role
• Strong experience in setting up and maintaining applications consisting of frontend-frameworks (e.g. React), .NET, FastAPI (Python) and LangGraph / LangChain hosted on Microsoft Azure (AKS, blob storage, AI search ...)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and security, scalability, and performance considerations
• Ability to translate complex problems into clear architectural solutions
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Optional:
• Prior experience launching internal AI-powered SaaS platforms

Project details:

• Duration: First half of 2026 and potentially onwards
• Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in Olen)
• Language: Proficient in English, with Dutch being a plus
• Project: Synthetix is a GenAI-powered platform designed to support advanced reasoning and data retrieval across multiple data sources. It enables expert users to ask complex questions and receive structured, traceable answers by orchestrating AI agents that interact with internal systems.
