For a client we are looking for a Network Engineer.

Description of the function:
As a Network Engineer, you will be integrated into the IT line’s Operation division. Your main role will be to design, implement and maintain the security and high availability of the network infrastructures of data centers and decentralized units at the national level. You will work mainly at the central level, with possible on-site trips depending on the projects. Your tasks will include technical configuration, physical installation of equipment such as server racks, and cable management.

Main missions:
Ensure the gradual migration of physical servers to a new datacenter.
Propose a detailed migration plan.
Install the necessary network equipment.
Participate in the transfer and reinstallation of servers.
Maintain and update the network infrastructure.
Connect different local networks to a national network.
Configure and install firewalls.
Provide technical support to decentralized teams.

Profile sought:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ideally systems-oriented.
Several years of experience in a similar position.
Experience with pfSense / OPNsense, Cisco equipment, high availability networks.
Knowledge in network security and VPN technologies.
Ability to physically install servers and perform cabling operations.
Network diagnostics and support skills.
Experience in Linux administration and virtualization (KVM, Proxmox) is an asset.
Good team spirit and effective communication.
Proficiency in English and one of the two national languages.

Technical skills:
Deployment and management of pfSense and OPNsense firewalls.
Configuration and maintenance of Cisco Layer-2 and Layer-3 switches.
Installation of physical servers and cabling in datacenters.
Assistance with setting up and troubleshooting VPN connections.
