Senior Test Engineer 

Important Information:

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Regime: Full-time, 3 days in the office
• Location: Brussels
• Languages: Dutch or French, plus English

Project/Department Description and Responsibilities:

• Domain: Customer management

• Provide functional support for applications and their data to ensure proper use and optimize the user experience
• Provide second-line functional support for the domain

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Create and develop test scenarios and test cases, maintaining them in collaboration with the development team including analysts, developers, project leaders, and UAT testers

• Execute tests during the development phase
• Report to the development team regarding the quality and progress of their developed project
• Identify and create test scenarios for the web application (SOAP is a must skill) within M-Team: manual - 20%, and automated - 80%
• Execute (non-)regression testing to assure the integrity of current functionalities
• Participate in the re-evaluation and approval of deliverables from other testers (scenarios, plans, automated tests, etc.)
• Ensure all tests are realized in the applicable environment, while monitoring execution and managing the test framework (adjusting where necessary)
• Manage timelines and monitor progress, reporting as necessary
• Write test scenarios and report on them to assure ongoing quality through the identification of necessary regression tests
• Document test results and communicate thoroughly with the team leader
• Analyze and report possible improvements in the development cycle for applications to avoid problems during the production stage

Technical Profile Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of SOAPUI

• Very good knowledge of web services REST (+IIB)
• Very good knowledge of Java (Scripting Selenium)
• Good knowledge of quality assurance testing: ISTQB, Selenium/RQM, or equivalent
• Expert knowledge of testing tools and methodologies
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Basic knowledge of ISTQB Certificate
• Working knowledge of JMeter is a plus
• Working knowledge of JIRA tool is a plus

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience

• Over 5 years of professional experience
• Good document practices
