Functional Analyst

Project Duration: Start ASAP – End of the year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Draft detailed specifications and requirement documents.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the implementation of solutions.
  • Monitor projects and coordinate between different stakeholders.
  • Participate in testing and validation of implemented solutions.
  • Ensure documentation and training for end users.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in both national languages (French and Dutch), both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of English to communicate with technical teams.
  • Proven experience in the investments domain (stock orders, fund buying and selling, MIFID taxation, client reporting, trading platforms, etc.).
  • Experience as an IT Functional Analyst (not a Business Analyst).
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and modeling tools (UML, BPMN, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in a similar environment.

Summary:

  • Translate (non)functional requirements into analysis for small/medium size features related to processes/systems within the (sub)domain.
  • Coordinate small projects.
  • Build domain knowledge in banking/insurance operations, products, and services.
  • Understand regulatory requirements and compliance standards governing the banking/insurance industry.
  • Apply modeling languages/tools for analysis.
  • Maintain domain systems to guarantee 100% availability.
  • Design features for a more 'client-centric' or efficient service offering.

People and Process:

  • Support and cooperate with team members and users.
  • Explain processes, software, and tools to end users.
  • Follow and enforce current team processes and tools.
  • Analyze the impact of changes.

Impact and Leadership:

  • Have an impact on team level and provide advice to team members and users.
  • Coordinate activities/small projects within the subdomain.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate a continuous learning and growth mindset.

Profile:

Medior profile with 3-8 years of experience.
