Role Overview:

As a Cloud Platform Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud Platform Solution Team within the Cloud Infrastructure department. This role serves as the primary interface for customer-facing solutions and strategic management of a self-service infrastructure portal. You will manage an existing cloud infrastructure self-service portal and contribute to its development into a scalable, automated, and customer-focused platform. This hybrid role encompasses solution engineering, stakeholder management, and platform roadmap optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact between internal customers and Cloud Infrastructure teams.
• Assist customers in defining their infrastructure needs (VMs, storage, databases, networking, middleware, etc.).
• Translate business and technical requirements into viable infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute to the architectural and functional development of the Cloud Infrastructure self-service portal.
• Define and prioritize roadmap items and new components for the portal.
• Collaborate closely with internal delivery teams and, when necessary, offshore partners.
• Ensure solutions adhere to standards for scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee delivery and ensure proper implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain platform continuity and stability during the transition period.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience requirements: Preferably Master +5 years, Bachelor +7 years, no relevant degree +10 years.
• Senior-level mindset with the ability to take ownership quickly.
• Broad experience in IT infrastructure (on-prem and/or cloud).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure components (VMs, storage, databases, networking, middleware).
• Experience in solution engineering, technical consulting, or similar hybrid roles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical requirements into business value.
• Customer-oriented and service-minded attitude.
• Ability to define priorities, think strategically, define roadmaps, and prioritize development initiatives effectively.
• Comfortable working in complex, large enterprise environments.
• Fluent, clear, and professional English communication.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience in product ownership, technical leadership, or program management.
• Exposure to self-service portals or automation platforms.
• Background in architecture, technical leadership, or product ownership.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Dutch language skills.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
