Business Analyst

Mission Context:
The Business Analyst will work within the Risk & Credits tribe, specifically in the risk cluster responsible for setting up the risk data and calculation infrastructure. This includes developing and maintaining a central credit pricing calculator that supports front-end applications in offering interest rates to customers, collecting necessary input data, and coordinating interest rate calculations. The goal is to build a unified pricing calculator for all credit products and customer segments, ensuring a common risk-based pricing methodology, compliance with legislation, and cost reduction through simplification and reuse.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements from end users and the Risk department into detailed specifications.
- Conduct functional analysis to convert business requirements into system requirements.
- Perform technical analysis to translate business requirements into pseudo-code.
- Develop SQL queries (Sybase IQ) for report development and use SQL queries (SQL Server, Oracle) for testing and analysis.
Language Requirements:
- Dutch or French: Fluent/good in speaking & understanding
- English: Fluent in writing, good in speaking & understanding.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate or college (university) degree preferred with a focus on mathematics.
- 4 to 5 years of experience in functional analysis and development.
- Experience as an analyst in large-scale IT development.
- Expertise in data/process analysis, requirements documentation, and testing.
Technical Experience:
- Medium to expert knowledge of standard MS tools and technologies: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Thorough SQL experience.
- Functional and technical analysis skills.
- Testing capabilities.
- Experience with development on distributed technologies (Java, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with software integration projects.
- Experience with process and change management.
Business Experience:
- Experience working in a large company or complex business environment.
- Knowledge of credit/credit risk (Basel II, etc.).
