Functional Requirements Specification: Analyze the functional needs of business stakeholders and specify/formalize them using the most appropriate format.
Product Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner and other business/IS experts to specify, document, and prepare the PBIs in the backlog, which are the units of work for the development team.
Test Preparation and Execution: Design test cases with the support of business & IS experts and assist the business in executing the tests.
Business Analysis & Process/Flow Design: Understand core business operations and formalize business processes and/or data flows.
Main Activities:
Organize and lead workshops with business and IS experts to capture functional requirements.
Formalize and specify the functional requirements.
Communicate requirements to the development team after formalization.
Propose IS solutions to the business based on input from the development team.
Suggest functional improvements to existing applications.
Prepare and write business/functional tests.
Execute tests to validate new developments.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of complex information systems, business processes, and development.
Proficient in data analysis and facilitating discussions and meetings.
Skilled in functional requirements and specification.
Knowledge of IS components architecture.
Proficient in dashboarding and reporting skills.
Experience in product backlog and team dashboard management (Azure DevOps, etc.).
