Functional Analyst

Location: Brussels

 

Responsibilities:

• Functional Requirements Specification: Analyze the functional needs of business stakeholders and specify/formalize them using the most appropriate format.
• Product Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner and other business/IS experts to specify, document, and prepare the PBIs in the backlog, which are the units of work for the development team.
• Test Preparation and Execution: Design test cases with the support of business & IS experts and assist the business in executing the tests.
• Business Analysis & Process/Flow Design: Understand core business operations and formalize business processes and/or data flows.

Main Activities:

• Organize and lead workshops with business and IS experts to capture functional requirements.
• Formalize and specify the functional requirements.
• Communicate requirements to the development team after formalization.
• Propose IS solutions to the business based on input from the development team.
• Suggest functional improvements to existing applications.
• Prepare and write business/functional tests.
• Execute tests to validate new developments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of complex information systems, business processes, and development.
• Proficient in data analysis and facilitating discussions and meetings.
• Skilled in functional requirements and specification.
• Knowledge of IS components architecture.
• Proficient in dashboarding and reporting skills.
• Experience in product backlog and team dashboard management (Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Programming and coding skills (Python, C#, Java).
• Fluent in English.
