Customer-facing Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Your Role:

As a Customer-facing CISO, you will serve as the strategic guide and trusted advisor for our clients. Your responsibilities will include translating complex cyber threats into clear, board-level language and aligning cybersecurity with our customers' business strategies. You will ensure that our clients are relieved of their security concerns in a constantly evolving landscape. Coordination with specialized security teams and Managed Services for technical implementations will be essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and implement a cybersecurity policy tailored to the customer's needs, outline long-term roadmaps, translate strategy into tactical action plans, and oversee execution.
  • High-Level Governance: Act as a sparring partner at the C-level, participate in board meetings and risk committees, establish security governance, and ensure cohesion between security, privacy, and business continuity.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Initiate risk analyses (IT, OT, IoT), guide customers through laws and regulations (such as NIS2), and prepare them for audits and ISO certifications.
  • Management of Security Incidents & Services: Maintain oversight during serious incidents, coordinate crisis communication, and advise on the optimal use of SOC and other security services.
  • Impact & Communication: Enhance security awareness, present clear reports on risks and maturity, and act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders.

Background & Knowledge:

  • Academic working and thinking level.
  • Expertise in GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation (including NIS2, GDPR) and IT Service Management (ITIL).
  • Experience with ICT architectures is a must; knowledge of OT/ICS and IoT is a strong advantage.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly understand organizations and identify vulnerabilities and opportunities.
  • Strong communicator who can speak both the language of the board and the engineer, presenting persuasively and writing clearly.
  • Diplomatic and steadfast, capable of handling resistance and remaining independent in advice.
  • Connector, enjoying collaboration with sales, architects, and engineers to build the best solutions for customers.
