Mission Context:
Join the Predictive Models team within the Marketing and Communication department to develop responsible AI models that enhance the effectiveness and impact of campaigns by optimizing their reach and relevance for customers and employees.
Function Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with a proven track record in building and deploying data science models, particularly with expertise in using LLMs for text classification and summarization. You will collaborate with a team of motivated data scientists to tackle various business challenges by creating responsible AI models that address the needs of Marketing and Communication, making campaigns more relevant and impactful. Key responsibilities include:
- Capturing business needs, determining feasibility, building models, and analyses to identify relevant target groups.
- Setting up tests to measure the impact of models.
- Building models to support customer journey-driven marketing campaigns.
- Developing pipelines to clean and structure web analytics data and using LLMs to detect customer intent.
- Applying guidelines and best practices for building responsible AI models.
- Monitoring and deploying AI models in production using a comprehensive stack of tools.
- Presenting technical concepts as clear, actionable insights to business owners and advising on model usage in campaigns.

- English: Fluent spoken and written
- Dutch: Fluent spoken and written OR French: Fluent spoken and written
Education:
Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science. Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial experience in data science are also encouraged to apply.
Required Experience / Knowledge:
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Technical Experience - Mandatory:
- Expertise in Python programming and Python data science environment (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Expertise in customer journey modeling (e.g., next best action).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, experiment design, and machine learning algorithms (traditional and deep learning).
- Expertise in the usage of LLMs for text classification, interpretability, guardrails, and validation of LLM-driven predictions.
- Proficiency in git, bash, and SQL.
Technical Experience - Preferable:
- Experience with incremental learning.
- Experience with uplift modeling.
- Experience with Marketing Mix Modeling and optimization under constraints.
- Familiarity with SAS and Streamlit.
Telework:
50% mandatory presence in Brussels Head Office, 50% telework.
