Supply Chain & Demand Planning Specialist

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Supply Chain & Demand Planning Specialist to temporarily manage operational responsibilities. The role focuses on ensuring the continuity of demand planning, ordering, and supply chain coordination activities, while maintaining service levels, stock control, and smooth interaction with internal and external stakeholders. This is a hands-on position, emphasizing execution, coordination, and short-term optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Planning & Forecasting

   • Consolidate, review, and maintain demand forecasts based on inputs from internal stakeholders and operators.
   • Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply and ordering plans.
   • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify major variances or risks (shortage/overstock).
   • Serve as the single point of contact for demand-related inquiries.
2. Ordering & Supply Coordination
   • Prepare and follow up on purchase and replenishment orders in line with forecasted needs.
   • Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and operators to ensure timely deliveries.
   • Track order status and proactively manage delays, partial deliveries, or exceptions.
   • Ensure alignment between demand, available stock, and confirmed deliveries.
3. Stock & Inventory Monitoring
   • Monitor stock levels and stock evolution, highlighting risks of shortages or excess inventory.
   • Support actions to optimize stock levels within existing rules and constraints.
   • Contribute to stock reporting and provide clear visibility to internal stakeholders.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
   • Collaborate closely with ordering, logistics/warehouse partners, and internal teams involved in supply chain, planning, and operations.
   • Ensure smooth handover and continuity of ongoing files and actions.
5. Reporting & Communication
   • Maintain and update operational reports related to demand, orders, and stock.
   • Flag issues, risks, and dependencies clearly and in a timely manner.
   • Provide structured status updates to the manager and key stakeholders.

Profile & Skills:

• Experience:

  • Experience in demand planning, supply chain, or operations coordination.
  • Comfortable working in an operational, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a backfill role is a strong plus.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical skills (forecasting, stock analysis, data consistency).
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel, BI tools, and ERP/planning tools.
  • Clear and structured communicator (written & verbal).

Language Requirements:

Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is a plus.
