Mission Context:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Engineer to join the OPC Control and Reporting Factory, part of Operational and Permanent Control. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support business decisions. This role requires strong technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, link, and validate data from multiple sources.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
  • Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Distill key messages from diverse information sources for management and negotiate remediation plans.
  • Work autonomously while maintaining team alignment.
  • Demonstrate persuasion, determination, and a willingness to learn.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Fluent
  • French: Fluent
  • English: Fluent

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and knowledge of SAS.
  • Proven experience in data pooling & sampling with end-user friendly techniques (self-servicing).
  • Proven experience in setting up data solutions in complex environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills and VBA preferable.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus (Power BI, Tableau).

Business Experience:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and synthesize messages.
  • Ability to negotiate and build relationships with internal stakeholders preferable.
  • Experience in banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge of data governance and GDPR compliance.

Soft Skills:

  • Team player.
  • Quick self-starter, pro-active attitude.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Autonomy, commitment, and perseverance.

Telework Expectation:
