Responsibilities:
- Analyze the flexibility available in the system.
- Support colleagues with information to improve products and market mechanisms.
- Develop scenarios for expected future flexibility and estimate possible flexibility shortages.
- Analyze current developments of flexibility in the system to facilitate the transition.
- Set up and maintain a dashboard with indicators around system flexibility.
- Gather information through desktop research, contacting parties, and developing inventive ways to retrieve unavailable information.
- Develop and conduct data analyses.
- Calibrate scenarios for the expected presence of flexibility in the system.
- Connect possible applications for different departments and disseminate results internally.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in engineering, commercial engineering, or economics with an interest in a technical environment.
- Keen interest in the sector and understanding of the global workings of the market.
- Preferably several years of experience in the market.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to master and understand complex processes.
- Ability to translate questions into quantitative analyses or approaches.
- Driven by facts and figures, with the ability to support reasoning using quantitative results.
- Sufficient knowledge and experience with statistical methods (e.g., machine learning) for analysis on large data sets.
- Interest and experience in performing calculations in Excel, and willingness to work with Python or similar programming languages.
- Good knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to combine different types of tasks and organize autonomously.
- Quick learner with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Focus on details without losing sight of the overall picture.
- Fluent in Dutch or French with adequate knowledge of the other language, and fluent in English both orally and in writing.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Teamwork-oriented, results-driven, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent communication style.
