Mission Context:

The Program Manager will coordinate and deliver a set of related projects aimed at achieving defined business objectives. Working under the supervision of a senior Manager & initiative Owner, the role ensures overall program coherence, coordination across projects, and adherence to agreed timelines, budget, and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to defining and monitoring program objectives in collaboration with management and stakeholders.

  • Represent the organization’s and client’s interests within the scope of the program.
  • Monitor the progress of projects within the program and consolidate overall status.
  • Support project managers in addressing issues with cross-project impact.
  • Identify and track inter-project dependencies.
  • Contribute to the identification and follow-up of program risks and issues.
  • Act as a sounding board for ideas and approaches to solving project issues that have program impacts.
  • Support cost estimation and budget follow-up for the program.
  • Prepare and deliver reporting to line management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures (Compliance, Permanent Control, Operational Risk).
  • Prepare and contribute to program steering committees.
  • Act as an operational escalation point for project managers, in coordination with the sponsor.
  • Lead the steering committee of the program’s projects.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Strong written and spoken communication skills.

  • French: Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • English: Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Education:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent by experience.

  • Project or program management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, SAFe, etc.) is an asset.

Work Arrangement:

50% on-site & 50% homeworking.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Very good knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiar with various IT systems.
  • Program Risk Management preferable.
  • Experience in a multi-project or transversal environment.

Business Experience:

  • Proven experience in the management of complex projects or a program of projects.

  • Experience in HR preferable.
  • Experience in the banking sector is a plus.

  • Ability to see the overall picture (helicopter view) - strategic thinking.

  • Strong communicator, diplomatic and customer-oriented.
