Job Opportunity: Medior Analytical Development Data & Business Analyst

Location: Waals-Brabant

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: December 2026

Mission:

Support the digital transformation of Analytical Development by acting as a data domain expert and business counterpart to data engineering. This includes assessing needs, designing optimized processes and data flows, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of digital solutions. Additionally, ensure data is high quality, contextualized, and regulatory-ready (ALCOA+, GxP), and provide lifecycle support for digital tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis
    • Collect and analyze user needs; translate into functional specifications and data requirements (KPIs, use cases, workflows).
    • Identify process and data gaps (e.g., missing metadata, inconsistent standards).
    • Build and maintain a data/analytics backlog.
    • Develop training materials, SOPs, and user guides.
    • Support deployment, go-live, and hypercare activities.
    • Gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Contribute to dashboards, reports, and data products.
  2. Data & Digital Solution Deployment
    • Perform end-to-end data and process mapping; propose optimized workflows.
    • Define data standards (metadata, naming conventions, business rules).
    • Validate data lineage, transformation rules, and business logic.
    • Support configuration, testing, and validation of digital solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with data integrity and regulatory requirements.
    • Define ingestion requirements (interfaces, frequency, critical fields, traceability).

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years in CMC / Analytical Development / QC, with exposure to digital transformation or business analysis.
  • Strong expertise in data mapping, data flows, and metadata harmonization (LIMS, ELN, analytical systems).
  • Good understanding of data integrity (GxP, ALCOA+, audit trails, controlled vocabulary).
  • Experience in Analytical Development/QC labs (e.g., stability, method validation, HPLC/UPLC, GC, KF, spectroscopy).
  • Ability to translate scientific processes into structured data models and requirements.
  • Familiarity with data governance and master data management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT/data teams (agile is a plus).
