Senior Business Analyst

Location: Flemish Brabant
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for new IT systems.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing systems, processes, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop comprehensive business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, and other relevant documentation to clearly articulate business needs and system functionalities.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and IT solutions, providing clarification and guidance as needed.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in the design and review of functional system architecture, workflows, and user interfaces to ensure usability and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in IT to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful implementation of IT projects within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with structured analysis techniques, requirements gathering, documentation, and validation processes.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process modeling, logical data modeling, business rule specification, business service specification, and use case analysis.
- Profound understanding of Domain Driven Design concepts (more specifically: strategic design).
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and industry-specific standards.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and tools.

- English: Fluent verbal and written (Dutch is a plus)
