Mission Context:

Collaborate with the Cluster Lead Brand & Corporate Functions and stakeholders to develop, monitor, and optimize the strategy for the cluster, aligning all stakeholders to a unified vision. The Marketing & Communications Strategist plays a crucial role in developing and implementing an effective marketing and communication strategy for their cluster. In close collaboration with the Cluster Lead and other stakeholders, they develop a clear vision and strategy that aligns with the cluster's objectives. Additionally, they work with Marketing & Communications Strategists from other clusters to contribute to the creation of a global marketing and communication strategy, ensuring seamless integration of various cluster strategies into a powerful whole.

Function Description:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of domains within the cluster (brand, branding, internal comms, corporate comms, change) and Marketing & Communication in all aspects.

  • Stay informed of the latest trends and evolutions in Marketing & Communication and evaluate their implications for the cluster.
  • Understand the strategic focus and priorities per domain within the cluster and identify and comprehend the needs of these clients.
  • Translate business strategy into MarCom strategies, in close collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Cluster Lead and other stakeholders within and outside Marketing & Communications.
  • Develop Marketing & Communications Plans, in close collaboration with the PO's and the Marketing & Communications Managers.
  • Represent MarCom in strategic projects.
  • Establish long-term objectives and KPIs for the Cluster and monitor their progress.
  • Support squads with strategic insights and develop strategic Marcom plans.
  • Develop innovative concepts and MVPs before handing them over for delivery.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Strong written and spoken communication skills

  • French: Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • English: Strong written and spoken communication skills

Education:

Master's degree in Communication, Economics, or Marketing

Required Experience/Knowledge:

At least 15 years of relevant experience

Technical Experience Mandatory:

  • Writing & editing skills

  • Strong expertise in MS Office
  • Very good knowledge of communication techniques & tools
  • Presentation skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Brand positioning and brand building

Business Experience Mandatory:

  • Proven experience in management & implementation of brand and communication strategies within the financial industry or similar

  • Strong business acumen and change management experience
