Azure Data Architect

End Date: 31/12/2026

Employment Type: Full-time, with the possibility to work remotely 2 to 3 days a week

Location: East-Flanders

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise to the data-domain.
• Work according to Agile/sAFE methodology.
• Design and document robust solutions, aligning them within a complex stakeholder landscape.
• Implement solutions practically.
• Provide architecture leadership and support within the end-to-end lifecycle of managing data.
• Participate in development efforts and represent the full internal and external capabilities of the platform.
• Oversee data management processes and provide guidance and direction to development teams, including design, documentation, maintenance, enhancements, and validation.
• Collaborate with business teams to build domain business knowledge and translate these into technical solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in one of the following development tracks: Analytics & BI development, data analysis, data engineering, platforms administration.
• Experience with Azure Cloud platform around data (Databricks, ADLS storage, SQL DB) and familiarity with technologies like Python or Spark.
• Experience with Angular, ADF, Power BI is an advantage.
• Experience in defining and owning end-to-end scalable Data Architecture, considering enterprise architecture and standards.
• Participation in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data, including data governance, master data management, metadata management, data quality, and data security.
• Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining logical and physical data models.
• Ability to work closely with multiple internal teams including compliance, privacy, risk, information security, support, and operations to ensure all business requirements are considered in the design process.
