Project Manager for a client in East Flanders.

Role Overview

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all activities within the scope of the project. This role is critical to ensuring the successful transition from legacy systems to the integrated SAP S/4HANA landscape, supporting strategic transformation objectives. The Project Manager will operate on the programme’s critical path, managing strict timelines, dependencies, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Governance
    • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for all workstreams.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with governance and reporting standards.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for BA topics.
    • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to validate scope and requirements.
    • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to programme leadership and impacted business units.
  • Cost Management
    • Estimate workload based on the scope and activities defined in the Work Breakdown Structure.
    • Monitor the budget based on the agreed cost baseline.
    • Define actions when applicable to stay within the approved cost baseline.
  • Scope Management
    • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives, scope, and level of effort.
    • Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allocation of available departmental resources to various project phases.
  • Risk & Quality Management
    • Identify and mitigate project and business risks related to migration timelines and system readiness.
    • Ensure robust testing and validation processes are in place.
    • Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across migration cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing BA (Business Administration) and/or projects in large-scale ERP implementations (preferably SAP S/4HANA / GTS).
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, hybrid environments, and integration frameworks.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are highly desirable.
