Network Operation Centre Engineer

IP NOC Engineer 

Start Date: 1/9/2026

End Date: 31/12/2026

Location: Brussels

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise IP networks by consulting and verifying information and alarms provided by management systems and network nodes across various technologies, including routing/switching (Cisco/Juniper), load balancing (F5), firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto), authentication (Cisco ISE), IP address management, DHCP, DNS (InfoBlox), VPN concentrators (Cisco), etc.
  • Act as the single point of contact for IP Network requests from other departments, implementing and solving requests in collaboration with team members.
  • Perform hardware installation/replacement, staging, and configuration in administrative sites and data centers, with most tasks being remote; occasional on-site tasks required.
  • Conduct first-level troubleshooting and event correlation, collaborating with senior network architects for complex issues, implementing work-arounds, and managing problem dispatching and follow-up with vendors and service providers.
  • Share experience and knowledge through training, workshops, and written procedures, maintaining inventories and participating in operation and maintenance improvements.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, ICT, or telecommunications, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Practical and operational knowledge of IP Networks and their management in multi-site environments and data centers.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IP NOC Helpdesk Officer.
  • Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco switches and routers.
  • Experience with firewall technology.
  • Willingness to continuously refine and broaden technical knowledge of IP networks.
  • Ability to work independently and methodically, with a strong sense of responsibility and risk assessment.
  • Customer-oriented, able to cope with stress, flexible, and approachable.
  • Good communication skills for interaction with colleagues, departments, suppliers, and service providers.
