Business Analyst

Role Overview:
The Business Analyst will work within the National Control Center (NCC) in the NetCalc Domain, contributing to the day-to-day electricity management. This role involves business process modeling, information modeling, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, quality assurance, documentation, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Process Modelling:
- Demonstrate a strong passion for business process modeling.
- Analyze end-to-end business processes and model them effectively.
- Collaborate with business architects to improve business architecture.
- Information Modelling:
- Structure and represent business concepts using UML class diagrams.
- Introduce new business concepts and refine existing ones.
- Ensure alignment between capabilities, information ownership, and models.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Elicit, clarify, and prioritize stakeholder and solution requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and refine user stories within an Agile framework.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and refine the backlog.
- Solution Design & Validation:
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Safeguard business architecture during solution design.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Participate in testing activities to ensure quality and alignment with business requirements.
- Write test cases and support business acceptance testing.
- Promote continuous validation throughout the development cycle.
- Documentation:
- Create clear, structured, and accurate documentation.
- Improve documentation practices within the team.
- Leadership:
- Take ownership and leadership in realizing business needs.
- Propose improvements and drive them to implementation.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Dutch and/or French and English.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in business analysis and requirements elicitation in an Agile context.
- Strong understanding of Business Analysis methods (BABOK, UML, BPMN).
- Knowledge of Archimate is a plus.
- Experience in Electrical Network Management is a strong plus.
- Autonomous, self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Additional Information:
- Remote work policy applicable, with at least two days per week on-site in Brussels.
- For non-EU candidates, a valid work permit and residence permit are required.
