Commercial Performance Lead/Analyst
Start Date: 3rd August
End Date: 31st December (with possible extension)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UK Capacity Market prequalification process and oversee the successful delivery of all associated commercial obligations.
- Manage long-term capacity sales planning, product offerings, and commercial outcomes.
- Monitor the performance and correct execution of daily commercial operations, resolving issues, proactively identifying risks, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead the overload optimization process and identify opportunities to maximize interconnector value capture.
- Conduct detailed analyses of auction revenues, customer bidding behavior, product performance, and market outcomes.
- Benchmark performance against market developments and industry best practices to uncover new sources of commercial value.
Market & Commercial Analytics:
- Support on Revenue Forecasting Platform and drive its ongoing development and forecasting capabilities.
- Contribute to market consultations, regulatory assessments, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Commercial Stakeholder Management:
- Validate revenue settlements and commercial calculations with key market partners.
- Deliver executive-level reports and performance insights to the Management Committee, Board of Directors, and shareholder representatives.
- Coordinate initiatives across commercial, finance, regulatory, operations, and ICT teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial analysis, financial modeling, or a related field within the energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Capabilities/experience in or willingness to learn SQL/Python.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to synthesize complex information.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Energy Markets, Business Analytics, or a related field, combined with experience in commercial analysis, electricity markets, trading, market operations, or revenue optimization.
- Demonstrated written/oral fluency in English.
Additional Information:
- Start: ASAP
- 1-year contract initially (extendable)
- Work regime: Monday to Friday
- Hybrid way of working (1-2 days/week in office)
- Strong preference for the candidate to be based in Belgium but not essential. Occasional travel could be required between Belgium/GB.
