Job Title: Team Leader Life Retail Insurance

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: 31/12/2026

Duration: 6 months (full time)

Location: Brussels hoofdstedelijk gewest (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and guide the Underwriting & Policy Servicing team, providing advice, support, and training as needed.
• Prioritize the team’s weekly workload and identify areas for service quality improvement.
• Foster a customer-focused mindset by understanding client and broker needs and adapting services accordingly.
• Ensure team performance by translating departmental objectives into clear goals.
• Support employee development through regular meetings, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Lead information or project meetings and create a positive, stimulating environment for team development.
• Collaborate with the Life Retail Manager to define team strategy and manage the department’s budget.
• Analyze customer complaints and propose appropriate solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance or economics.
• At least 5 years of experience in the life insurance industry.
• Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and performance-oriented approach.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch or French, with a very good command of the other national language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of lean management is an asset.
• Meticulous, organized, and able to manage priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Participative leadership style and quick learning ability in a dynamic environment.
• Dynamic, positive, and open to new ideas.
