Java Angular Developer
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Initial contract of 6+ months with possible extension
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Languages: Dutch or French is mandatory, with a good knowledge of the second national language. English is also required.
Important
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree.
- Expert level required (7+ years of relevant professional experience).
Project Context
As part of a Legacy Application Modernization initiative, you will contribute to the complete redevelopment of existing applications originally built in Delphi. The objective is to deliver a modern application for budget management, replacing legacy solutions with a new technology stack based on Angular for the front end and Java/Spring for the back end.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the development of the new application.
- Contribute to corrective and evolutionary maintenance.
- Support application deployments to production.
- Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams.
- Participate in technical discussions, project meetings, and progress reviews.
Required Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing Java/Spring applications in a collaborative team environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Angular (v14+) development.
- Experience with legacy application modernization or migration projects.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Java
- Spring Framework
- Angular
- PrimeNG
- Bootstrap
- Maven
- Experience with development tools:
- IntelliJ IDEA
- Visual Studio Code
- Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
- Good knowledge of Git for source code management.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Languages
- Dutch or French is mandatory, with a good knowledge of the second national language.
- English is required to participate in technical discussions and collaborate within a bilingual environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Delphi, allowing for a better understanding of the existing legacy code.
- Awareness of application performance, security, and accessibility best practices.
