Procurement Specialist
Work Regime: Full-time
Location: Brussels
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical and asset management departments to understand long-term requirements.
- Conduct market analysis and evaluate potential suppliers globally, considering market developments and anticipating client needs.
- Develop medium- to long-term procurement plans for strategic electrical equipment based on market analysis.
- Define and implement procurement strategies in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Actively participate in implementing sustainable policies.
- Organize the EU procurement procedure from defining selection and awarding criteria to negotiation and contract awarding, which constitutes 80% of the role.
- Optimize internal processes, methods, and tools in procurement based on EU procurement procedure experience.
- Depending on experience, manage a complete family of assets autonomously with a global scope.
- Contribute to building synergies and best practices for both entities involved.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in technical or engineering studies, or an economics background with a strong technical focus through relevant internships or professional experiences.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle stress with a problem-solving mindset.
- Analytical and result-driven.
- Trilingual proficiency in French, Dutch, and English (one mother tongue and the other two at B2 to C1 level).
- Preferably 2 to 5 years of experience in a technical context, public procurement, or project management environment.
- Affinity with legal terminology and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to work partially from home and at the office.
- Willingness to travel a few times a year to Berlin.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Ariba.
- Knowledge of German.
