V-IT is op zoek naar een Data Engineer (5 dagen/week) te Brussel.
 
 
 
Jouw rol
 
Als Data Engineer bouw jij mee aan het dataplatform van morgen en vertaal jij business noden in echte data assets.
 
Je belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden zijn:
 
·        Data Integration and Pipeline Development
·        Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines. 
·        Ingest and integrate data from operational and external source systems into our different Data Platforms.
·        Build and automate ETL/ELT processes. 
·        Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data processing workflows.
·        Documentation of data models and pipelines
 
 
·        Data Quality & Reliability
·        Ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, availability, and performance.
·        Implement monitoring, validation, and quality controls.
·        Investigate and resolve data-related incidents and issues.
·        Compliance with security, privacy, governance, and architectural standards.
·        Support continuous improvement of the data platform and associated processes.
 
·        Collaboration & Delivery
·        Collaborate with Product Owners, Domain Experts, Data Analysts and Data Scientists in multidisciplinary teams. 
·        Support reporting, analytics, self-service BI and AI initiatives. 
·        Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement. 
·        Actively share knowledge and promote best practices within the Data & Analytics community.
 
 
Jouw profiel
 
·        Bachelors/Master degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
·        Proven experience in data engineering, including data pipeline design, ETL processes, and data transformation activities. 
·        Experience in DWH and architecture assets, on premise as within the cloud. Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
·        The ability to model data solutions (Kimball, DataVault,…)
·        Good understanding of databases and SQL as well as proven proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and modern data engineering tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow,…). 
·        Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices with a focus on data-driven workflows.
·        Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
·        Customer-focused and results-driven, a real team player with a continuous learning attitude.
