Data Engineer for a client in Brussels.
Start Date:
Immediate - long term project
Deadline:

Location:
Brussels (2 days/week) and remote (3 days/week after training)
Responsibilities:
- Join one of our product teams to create data pipelines, efficient storage structures, and powerful materialized views using various analytical technologies.
- Develop data exchange endpoints for user destinations.
- Interact with governance tools related to Glossary, Modeling, Lineage, and Data Quality.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and present reusable, integrated solutions.
- Contribute to extensive testing and reinforce DevOps principles within the team.
- Write and structure documentation effectively.
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience (3 to 5 years preferable) in at least two of the following areas:
- SQL server usage
- Implementing data pipelines using Azure services (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Stream/log Analytics, Azure DevOps)
- Implementing data pipelines or data enrichments with Python in a Databricks environment
- Open to learning new technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow, etc.)
- Ability to challenge interlocutors with rational thinking and a no-nonsense philosophy.
- Customer-oriented thinking with a product-oriented mindset.
- Iterative analytical approach to problem-solving and a track record of driving results through continuous improvement.
- Team player with respect, open-mindedness, and a collaborative spirit.
- Fluent in English (must-have) and fluent in German/French or Dutch (soft requirement).
- Excellent communication skills.
