Microsoft System Administrator
For a customer we are looking for a Microsoft System Administrator.

Duration: Long term
Location: Brussels (2 days a week) & remote

Job description:
As a Senior Microsoft System Administrator, you are responsible for the management and optimization of a Microsoft-based infrastructure and systems. You play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity and security of the IT environment. You work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that the systems function efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities:
Management and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
Implementation and management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
Support and management of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint environments.
Management and optimization of MSSQL databases.
Perform system updates, patches and security configurations.
Monitoring system performance and solving technical problems.
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Collaborate with other IT teams to support and implement projects.
Providing second and third line support for complex technical problems.
Documenting system configurations and procedures.
Developing and maintaining scripts to automate and optimize system management.
Sharing knowledge and best practices with team members and other services to increase overall IT competence.
Profile:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Microsoft System Administrator.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, SCCM, Intune, Defender, Exchange and Office 365.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
Experience with SharePoint management and support.
Experience with MS SQL database management.
Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills in both Dutch or French and English.
Ability to effectively share knowledge and guide others.
Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or similar are a plus.
