Senior Pega Lead System Architect

Location: Brussels

Preferred Start Date: 03/08/2026

Duration: Until 30/07/2027

Work Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid (2 days on-site per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business solution strategy, operational vision, business imperatives, and capabilities, and how they affect technology imperatives.
  • Design and define specific solution processes, business, and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with other architects to explore and define how proposed capabilities will fit into the overall solution architecture.
  • Review deliverables within the scope of initiatives to meet business imperatives.
  • Manage integration requirements across different systems in line with the defined tribe integration solution.
  • Develop, test, install, and support application systems in line with product requirements.
  • Supervise and coach junior team members in development, testing, installation, and support of application systems.
  • Create, deploy, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines ensuring seamless software development and release.
  • Apply automation, monitoring, and visualization across the architecture.
  • Work closely with developers and testers to ensure code deploys and operates to the highest quality standards.
  • Analyze problems, develop, and propose solutions to more senior team members.
  • Prepare and study the technical feasibility and estimates of proposed system solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, and prepare and give presentations to team members, management, and customers.
  • Provide timing/scheduling estimates to the product owner and propose corrective actions to timelines when necessary.
  • Demonstrate customer centricity by working closely with the internal customer.
  • Organize efficient handover through high-quality documentation and training.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to innovate and implement components of the design system.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 11-13 years of IT development experience.
  • Must have Pega LSA certification (with design and build) with strong exposure to on-premises implementation.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a LSA.
  • High and practical exposure to Pega 24 version and above is a must.
  • Good knowledge of the Pega upgrade process is advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of different areas of Pega PRPC 24; Constellation knowledge is a bonus.
  • Solid knowledge of API integration and authentication/authorization models.
  • Proficient in Java; experience in developing multi-tier applications using JAVA and Tomcat is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, AJAX, Web Services, SOAP, REST, Apache Tomcat, and Apache HTTP Server.
  • Oracle and database expertise including SQL and schema administration is beneficial.
  • Strong Pega security exposure and security mindset.
  • Knowledge in DevOps and experience in branching strategies, continuous integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience in an Agile environment requiring a high degree of scalability and reliability.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with teams operating in other time zones (Europe and APAC).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, strong interpersonal skills, and a customer-centric attitude.
  • Analytical with excellent troubleshooting skills in understanding complex situations and dependencies.
  • Eager to learn and stay up to date with the latest technologies.
