Consultant Position

For a client, we are seeking a Consultant for a project with a contract period from 1st September 2026 to 31st December 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance the transparency of data published by the SMA team and develop clear, insightful, and impactful visuals.
• Improve data management processes, including setting up data warehouses and data pipelines.
• Explore and analyze large datasets from simulations.
• Benchmark visualizations from equivalent studies and those available within SMA.
• Create and iterate visuals from simulation outputs, ensuring they meet stakeholder requirements.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces for dynamic data exploration.
• Consolidate historical data and create/update tools in Python for data analysis.
• Critically analyze algorithm results and identify key trends.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python and PowerBI is essential.
• Knowledge of React.js and ANTARES is a plus.
• Understanding of energy systems and the electricity market.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Analytical and innovative mindset.
• Good command of Dutch and/or French and English.

Additional Information:

• Location: Brussel.
• Onsite presence required for 50% of the time.
• Full-time work regime.
• For non-EU candidates, a valid work and residence permit is required.
