Full Stack Developer / DevOps Engineer

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: 31/12/2026

Duration: 4 months (full time)

Location: Brussels (Hybrid, remote location possible)

Job Description:

We are looking for a Scale-up Full-Stack DevOps professional who is passionate about clean Python code, scalable cloud setups, and enjoys the freedom to build things right. You will help shape core architecture, implement practical AI automation, and work in a team that values trust over micromanagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the lead in the tech build, including APIs, user experience, front and backend systems, data platforms, and overall architecture in collaboration with the IT Lead.
  • Act as a senior advisor to define the best technologies, tools, and architectures for each project.
  • Provide technical input for business analysis.
  • Identify and deploy best practices for sustainable scalability of applications.
  • Conduct AI-based regression testing.

Task Deliverables & Milestones:

  • Maintain and develop Python web services.
  • Maintain, develop, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members for service communication.
  • Support other teams by creating custom solutions and automating tasks.
  • Co-create processes and workflows with technical insights for long-term solutions.

Desired Hard Skills:

  • Backend: Python ^3.10, FastAPI, Celery, SQLModel, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Git, Alembic, PostgreSQL, JWT, RestAPI, AI model usage, Wordpress administration.
  • DevOps: Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker.
  • Cloud Architect / Sysadmin: Google Cloud Platform, GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, Secret Manager, Monitoring, BigQuery, Storage, Cloud SQL, Error reporting, VPC network, Vertex AI, Linux, Nginx, Wireguard, ufw/iptables.
  • FrontEnd (nice to have): Typescript, Next.js, NPM, ESLint, Prettier, Husky, Git.

Desired Experience:

  • Successful experience as a full-stack developer in a startup environment.
  • Strong Python, cloud architecture, and deployment skills.
  • Team player with outstanding execution across frontend and backend environments.
  • Experience with data architecture is a plus.
  • High level of professional and intellectual integrity.
  • Ability to handle success and failure, and accept feedback and critique.
  • Self-starter with strong drive, capable of performing independently and delivering quality work.
  • Understanding of B2B trade is a plus; knowledge of trade credit insurance is nice-to-have.
  • Open to learning new skills and selecting the best technology for each project.
