Test Automation Engineer Position

Position: Test Automation Engineer

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 31/12/2026, with an option for extension

Location: Brussel

Language Proficiency: Dutch/English or French/English, with knowledge of the second language

Responsibilities:

• Review acceptance criteria.
• Set up automation tools (e.g., Playwright).
• Develop and execute test automation scripts.
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing, including end-to-end testing with external partners.
• Follow up on defects and issues, and write test reports.
• Support teams in estimating test efforts and planning.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance.

Technical Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with UI and API testing (Angular, Java Spring Boot).
• Strong knowledge of testing processes.
• Experience in testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, and proxy services.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Xray, and Ready API is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Soft Skills:

• Fluent in Dutch/English or French/English, with a good understanding of the other national language.
• Team player with the ability to share knowledge and best practices.
• Eager to learn and develop testing expertise.
• Attentive to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.

Work Arrangement:

40% in the office (Friday is mandatory) and 60% homeworking.
