Scrum Master 

For a client, we are seeking an experienced Scrum Master for a project starting on 01/07/2026 and ending on 30/06/2027. The role involves managing two squads focused on IT Continuity. The Scrum Master will also handle the backlog of the squads, taking on some Product Owner tasks due to the nature of run activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
  • Schedule and follow key steps of the methodology.
  • Ensure smooth use of the Scrum methodology and assist the Project Team in overcoming obstacles.
  • Provide support to the Product Owner concerning the Product Backlog.
  • Assist the team in delivering the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
  • Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
  • Coach and challenge the Project Team, promoting gradual self-organization.
  • Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from outside distractions.
  • Act as an ambassador of agile methods within the company.
  • Report to superiors on the proper deployment of the Scrum methodology within projects.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language.
  • French: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language.
  • English: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language.

Education:

Master in IT or similar field.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical experience with agile reporting and follow-up tools (Rally).
  • Understanding of tooling on automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling.
  • Sound knowledge of IT Infrastructure.
  • Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g., Kanban).
  • Experience in IT Continuity, DR exercises, DORA knowledge is a plus.

Telework Expectation:

50% on-site and 50% homeworking.
