OPS Security Engineer - Firewall & Proxy Filtering Services

Description:
The OPS Security Engineer will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing the Firewalls. The role involves validating firewall requests, implementing new rules, resolving incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The engineer will also contribute to audits, network security controls, and regulatory obligations by providing detailed analysis and supporting evidence.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily management of firewall flow requests.
- Resolve incidents related to firewall or security policies.
- Contribute to project teams with firewall technology expertise.
- Ensure firewall configurations align with security policies and document them.
- Manage requests in accordance with security rules.
- Perform deep analysis and provide evidence for audits and reporting activities.
Language Requirements:
- Dutch: Nice to have
- French: Desired
- English: Mandatory
Education:
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Certifications:
- PCNSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator)
- CompTIA Network+
- CCNA
Telework Expectation:
50% on-site & 50% homeworking
Required Experience/Knowledge:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a firewall environment.
- Proven experience in Firewall, IPS/IDS, Cloud micro-segmentation.
- Experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet.
- Experience with Service Now (IT Service Management module).
- MS Excel (Automatic reporting: VBA, Python).
- Knowledge of security, networking & architecture principles.
Business Experience:
Knowledge of Agile methodology.
