Senior .NET Developer Position

Location: Brussels + Remote

Languages: Dutch/French + English

Start Date: 1st September 2026

End Date: 31st August 2028

Description:

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer who will take ownership of designing and building high-quality, well-tested software solutions within the Transport Execution Management domain. The role involves working closely with the solution designer and business stakeholders to translate ideas into effective, reliable applications, gaining a deep understanding of the business context. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, initiative, clear communication, active team contribution, and a willingness to go the extra mile. Independence is crucial, as is the ability to deliver complete solutions while valuing teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Conformity Criteria:

  • More than 5 years of experience in .NET development.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Azure Cloud development.
  • Over 3 years of experience in .NET Core Web API development.
  • Experienced in unit testing code.
  • Demonstrable experience with Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
  • Minimum 2 days onsite in Brussels.
  • Fluent communication in Dutch or French (spoken and written) at least C2 level.
  • Fluent communication in English (spoken and written) with at least C1 level.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Strong mastery of the .NET ecosystem, including language features, LINQ, async/await, security practices, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Writes clean, maintainable, and SOLID code following proven engineering practices.
  • Designs secure, performant .NET Core Web APIs.
  • Effectively leverages Azure services, PaaS components, and event-driven patterns.
  • Creates meaningful, maintainable, and automated unit tests.
  • Sets up robust Azure DevOps pipelines and manages containerized deployments with Kubernetes & Docker.
  • Integrates reliably with backend APIs and designs Android applications for offline usage, local persistence, synchronization, conflict handling, and recovery.
  • Models, queries, and optimizes relational databases.
  • Applies branching strategies and collaborates efficiently using Git.
  • Clearly explains technical choices.
