Job Title: Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Long-term assignment (+1 year)

Work Regime: Full-time, with 2 days on-site

Location: Brussel-hoofdstad

Languages: Dutch or French + good English

Description:

As a Java Full Stack Developer, you will develop and maintain both the front-end and back-end components of applications using Java and modern front-end technologies. You will be part of a dynamic development team working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features
• Analyze and fix bugs
• Write automated tests
• Update technical documentation
• Ship new software releases
• Review code quality and collaborate in code reviews
• Participate in Agile ceremonies

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in Java development and bug fixing
• Strong knowledge of and experience with Java 17 or higher
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data (JPA 2 or 3), and Spring Security
• Experience with Hibernate ORM
• Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle Database, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Minimum 10 years of experience in web application development
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins
• Java build stack is Maven 3, Artifactory
• Experience with Angular (version 18 or later) and PrimeNG
• Build is Gradle
• Dependency Management via Npm (repo: Artifactory)
• Angular project organization in NX
• Some experience collaborating using Figma
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, and (Micro)services Architecture
• Good understanding of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
• Experience with Docker and some Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and event-based programming with asynchronous messaging technologies via Kafka and MQ
