Job Title: Functional Analyst

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 31/12/2026 (with possibility of extension)

Work Regime: Full-time, 2 days on-site

Location: Brussels

Languages Required: French and English

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong and long-term relationships with stakeholders, including business and project stakeholders, team managers, and partners.
• Conduct detailed identification, analysis, description, and validation of both existing business processes and new (non) functional needs of the users.
• Translate requirements into business solutions by creating functional analysis and application designs.
• Collaborate with technical team members to validate the functional design and create the translation to technical specifications.
• Ensure end-to-end follow-up on the delivery of new functionalities and/or applications.
• Produce all necessary documentation throughout the different stages of projects.
• Work closely with business analysts and developers under the supervision of project managers/coordinators to refine and validate proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers to report status, facilitate decisions, manage risks, and escalate as needed.

• Software requirements specifications (including needed diagrams, analysis, etc.)
• Data model
• User stories
• Test plan and cases

Mission & Working Hours:

• Based in Brussels, with an office located right in front of South Station.
• Initial contract with a long-term mission that can be extended.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 hours and 48 minutes per day.
• Homeworking is possible for up to 3 days a week.

• Strong functional and business analysis skills to quickly assimilate complex material.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with both business and development teams.
• Solution and customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to abstract complex material.
• Willingness to change business context regularly.
• Ability to integrate easily into an existing team and supervise juniors.
• Familiarity with AGILE/SCRUM methodologies.
• Understanding of the application ecosystem, which relies on classic development technologies (J2EE, Java8, Oracle, Hibernate, Junit, Selenium, Maven, GIT, JIRA...).
• While the Analyst role does not require technical tasks, mastery of technical language is necessary for functional analyses (APIs, mappings, business model, batches, services...).
• Business Analysis - interface with the client to help define their needs.
• A good knowledge of the second national language is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

Due to the nature of the activities, the candidate must have Belgian nationality.
