For a client, we are looking for a Senior Security Project Manager.

Start date: December 1, 2026
Duration: 12 months (until December 1, 2027)
Work regime: Full-time, 100% on-site

Job Description

As a Senior Security Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and following up on several security-related projects. These projects are carried out by different teams. You will maintain contact with the team leaders, ensure alignment of the planning and provide regular reporting to management and all stakeholders to ensure a smooth rollout.

In addition to monitoring the schedule, budget and quality, you will ensure that changes are communicated in a clear and understandable way. You will perform risk analyses of the project plan and proactively propose alternatives whenever the schedule is at risk.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, including at least 5 years of experience in security projects.
  • Belgian nationality.
  • Holder of a “Top Secret” security clearance or willing to obtain one.
  • Native Dutch or French speaker with a good command of the other national language and English.
  • Experience managing projects involving at least 5 teams.

Skills

  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • Experience with traditional project management standards such as PMBOK, PRINCE2 and RUP, as well as integration with Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban and Lean.
  • Experience with compliance and compliance reporting.
  • Experience with ticket-based follow-up; experience with JIRA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR and DORA.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security concepts such as Zero Trust, SIEM, SOAR, PKI and cryptography, DevSecOps, IAM and PAM, and cloud security.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Linux and Android.

You will work in an environment with specific challenges related to the nature of the assignment. Cybersecurity is an area in which significant additional investments will be made over the coming years, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to these initiatives.

The workplace is within walking distance of Brussels-North railway station. Remote work is not possible; you are required to work 5 days per week on-site in Brussels.
