Opportunity: Network Designer

For a client in Henegouwen, we are seeking a Network Designer.

Mission Modalities

This is a full-time mission with an estimated duration of 14 months. Presence on the site is required at least 2 days per week, with the possibility of remote work in consultation with the manager. Having a driver's license and a vehicle is preferable.

Mission Context

The candidate will join the IP network expertise team, responsible for operational management, configuration changes, architecture modifications, and network equipment security. They will ensure infrastructure design and provide level 3 support.

Main Tasks

• Designing the data network
• Ensuring system coherence
• Technical expertise for projects and evolving requests
• Implementing network infrastructure changes
• Designing and implementing security aspects
• Installing and configuring systems
• Managing external providers
• Monitoring and tuning systems
• Ensuring backups and restorations
• Managing incidents and problems with providers
• Analyzing recurring incidents and proposing solutions
• Following up on updates and security patches
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation
• Tracking system inventories
• Producing KPIs: Performance, availability, quality
• Rationalizing systems to control costs
• Participating in on-call duties and interventions outside working hours

Required Technical Skills

• Expertise in network security
• Datacom expertise including routing/switching, WIFI, DHCP/DNS
• Experience in technical documentation
• Experience with Fortinet (more than 5 years)
• Experience as a network architect or designer (more than 5 years)
• Experience in monitoring and tuning systems
• CCNP level or equivalent
