Job Purpose:

The Application Technical Lead holds a key position in technical leadership within a specialized application team. Responsible for delivering impactful technical solutions, the role encompasses technical oversight of new project initiatives and maintenance of existing applications. The Technical Lead collaborates with developers, functional experts, business analysts, portfolio architects, and Infrastructure & Operations teams, reporting directly to the Project Lead. This position is crucial for driving innovation and integrating technology solutions that align with business goals and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership and Coaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
2. End Technical Responsibility of Software Systems: Oversee all technical aspects within the application team, ensuring software development and deployment meet organizational standards and goals.
3. Active Development Contribution: Engage in hands-on development work, contributing to coding, feature development, and bug fixes.
4. Preparation of Technical Deliverables: Create detailed technical documentation for software releases, including infrastructure requests and release documents.
5. Requests for Configuration Changes to I&O: Manage configuration change requests to ensure system stability and performance.
6. System Design: Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems while adhering to architectural standards.
7. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with analysts to refine requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
8. Code Review and Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through thorough reviews and implement stringent quality assurance processes.
9. Performance Optimization: Regularly assess software performance and make necessary adjustments for optimization.
10. Security Considerations: Incorporate up-to-date security practices to safeguard software systems against threats.
11. Technology Evaluation and Integration: Assess and integrate new technologies that align with business objectives and enhance system capabilities.
12. Troubleshooting and Support: Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and support.
13. Adherence to Architecture Standards and Collaboration: Collaborate with the portfolio architect to align with strategic architecture while retaining discretion for complementary design choices.
