Java Cloud Native Developer (Med/Senior)

Project Duration: ASAP – 31/07/2026

Location: Vlaams-Brabant (50% onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a backend in a cloud-native environment to automate internal IT workflows.
• Work with microservices to ingest data, evaluate business rules, and ensure secure communication with other platforms.
• Generate notifications and tasks, handle error scenarios in data pipelines, and contribute to a reliable and secure automation engine.
• Collaborate on building a strategic system that impacts the digital experience of employees.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 4+ years of professional experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Experience in developing RESTful web services, JSON, and HTTP.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD build pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub).
• Good understanding of encryption, security, and authentication protocols (SSL, OAuth2, OpenId).

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Java/Kotlin, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Understanding of data ingestion (e.g., S3-style storage, file-based flows) and secure system integrations.
• Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and enterprise authentication (OAuth, tokens).
• Logical mindset for translating business rules into clean, testable logic.

Language Proficiency:

Proficient in English.
