Machine Learning Engineer

Role Description:

We are looking for an expert Machine Learning Engineer to help structure the vision around our employee virtual assistant into a coherent technical implementation roadmap. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and deploying Python micro-services, ensuring the boundaries between micro-services are correctly defined to allow different teams to work in parallel efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Develop ML pipelines that are production-ready by design or integrate existing ML solutions into industrial pipelines.
• Participate in the development, deployment, and monitoring of AI services, contributing to data quality checks, data flow design, and model integration into the production environment.
• Facilitate communication between AI & Analytics teams and IT production regarding the deployment of ML models.
• Work with Data Scientists to define and develop target solutions with production constraints in mind.
• Contribute to the automation of ML pipeline elements for integration and deployment in the production environment.
• Support Data Scientists and IT Production on the usage and parameterization of existing industrial solutions.
• Ensure models run without errors, are retrained if needed, and are monitored from both IT and business perspectives.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field/experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Technical experience in containerization, AI platforms & IDEs, CI/CD, code, model & data versioning, cloud computing services, relational databases, and Swagger/schema definition.
• Business experience in project coordination.

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Certifications in Linux, Python, and data science are a plus.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; Dutch and French are nice to have.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to deliver results, attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive in continuous learning and knowledge improvement.
• Demonstrates efficiency, efficacy, and the ability to think outside existing processes and frameworks.

Telework Expectation:

50% on-site and 50% homeworking.
