Senior Functional Designer for Financial Applications

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will join the Information Systems (IS) Assets, Finance & Risk team, focusing on the Finance reengineering program. The role involves designing robust IT applications for data-oriented processes, covering areas such as data input/output, transformation, extraction, storage, traceability, user interface, cloud reporting, and event-driven architecture. Responsibilities include gathering user requirements, performing functional analysis, designing IT solutions, and participating in testing and technical analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality of functional and technical design of solution components.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Follow up with the implementation team.
- Describe test scenarios and perform/organize test execution.
- Build positive team spirit.
- Follow up on acceptance testing.
- Ensure regular progress reporting to management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: University Graduate or Professional Bachelor
- Experience:
- Applications and process modeling: 5-8 years
- General knowledge in IT platforms: 5-8 years
- Functional requirements for IT: 5-8 years
- User requirements analysis: 5-8 years
- IT solution design on middle-scale projects: 5-8 years
- Describing test scenarios and performing/organizing test runs: 5-8 years
- Relational Data Modelling: 5-8 years
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of insurance/finance processes
- SQL, .NET/Angular, Event-driven architecture
- Knowledge in infrastructure aspects is a plus
- ETL experience
Language Proficiency:
- English: Good speaking, fluent reading, good writing
- Dutch and/or French: One fluent and one passive or not spoken
