System Engineer Opportunity

Start Date: February 2025 (start date can be discussed)

Duration: Long-term assignment

Location: Oost-Vlaanderen & remote (The candidate must be willing to work full-time onsite for the first 6 months. Afterwards, two days of remote work are allowed)

Important: The client emphasizes expert-level knowledge of PowerShell for Active Directory. Not only should the candidate be able to write scripts, but also focus on maintaining and optimizing existing scripts.

Task Description

• Be part of the infrastructure team as a server specialist.
• Develop a stable and secure server infrastructure and technology.
• Work on ideas for continuous improvement of the server infrastructure.
• Manage approximately 3000 servers, mainly virtualized and clustered.
• Focus on automation using extensive PowerShell scripts and modules.
• Play a leading role in securing, deploying, and standardizing PowerShell scripts.
• Perform all-round system engineer tasks as needed.
• Contribute to the global strategy for IT standardization and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure the continuity, growth, and renewal of the server park.

Technical Profile

• Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent through experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell (required).
• Knowledge of SQL Server queries (required).
• Thorough knowledge in one or more Microsoft System Center products (required).
• Interest in the latest IT technologies and infrastructure such as Windows Server, Clustering, SQL Server, SAN, storage, backup & restore, Hyper-V, etc.

Language Requirements
