For a client, we are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Product Engineer with expertise in Aircraft Maintenance Systems.
Location: Diegem, Belgium (On-site)
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the airline center of competence, possessing detailed knowledge of personnel, functions, end-to-end processes, and various systems and tools.
- Collaborate with functional and technical experts within airlines, vendors, and IT to describe business requirements and implement systems.
- Manage day-to-day sustainment activities of existing systems and solutions.
- Coordinate and champion change within the aviation sector, recognizing regulatory backgrounds and complexities.
- Prepare and support each development stage through analysis, design, testing, and implementation.
- Organize workshops, interviews, and visits to gather business requirements, processes, and data.
- Articulate and document requirements, processes, and data clearly.
- Analyze and prioritize requirements to establish a global standard applicable across all airlines.
- Prepare test scenarios and cases, and manage test execution.
- Execute tests and coordinate with end-users and IT colleagues.
- Support end-user training and implementation coordination across business and IT.
- Define and support integration projects between airline operational systems.
- Drive timely and quality go-live of new digital solutions supporting airlines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent industry experience in aircraft engineering/maintenance, transportation, and/or computer science.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in aviation maintenance and IT systems.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance systems (e.g., TRAX, AMOS), preferably as an administrator or project implementation lead.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically about systems and processes.
- Excellent coordination skills, with the ability to listen and act with limited oversight.
- Experience in Business Requirements Management (BRM) techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency in PC skills and IT aptitude, including Office365.
- Experience with collaborative tools such as Teams, JIRA, Confluence is preferred.
- Familiarity with test management tools like QTest and service management tools such as Service Now is an advantage.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and argue in a structured and concise manner at all organizational levels.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
