For a client we are seeking a Senior Cobol Developer to join a dynamic team. This role is crucial for the expansion and support of ongoing projects related to a core group application.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design efforts and execute technical solutions.
• Manage project development and maintenance, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Write, maintain, and optimize COBOL code for application development.
• Provide mentorship and support to new team members during onboarding.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to ensure integrated and smooth application functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, with a focus on batch job management.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior COBOL Developer.
• Proficiency in COBOL, SQL, and DB2.
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing application performance.
• Familiarity with GCL for batch jobs and tools such as Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Eclipse.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, and proficiency in English.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with distributed server environments.
• Understanding of the full development life cycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• .NET knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
