Senior Functional Analyst with a Technical Background

Start Date: 09/03/2026

End Date: 30/06/2026 (with possible extension)

Location: Brussels, with 40% office presence on Monday (fixed day), Wednesday, or Friday, and 60% homeworking.

Duration: 4 months (full-time)

Interview Process: Two rounds - 1st round with the Team Lead and HR via Teams, 2nd round for a more technical interview onsite.

Serve as part of the product team, coordinating with all stakeholders.
Act as the main point of contact for a team of developers and testers.
End-to-end responsibility for user stories:
- Refine EPICs into user stories and lead the user story mapping process, including prioritization.
- Collaborate with the product manager for user story writing and validation.
- Work with the DEV-team for user story refinement.
- Validate developed stories to ensure they meet acceptance criteria.

Minimum of 7 years of recent experience as a Functional Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technical background with familiarity in Rest API, Swagger, and event-driven architecture.
Recent experience with Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and UML (including UML-diagrams and data modeling).
Ability to create wireframes with Figma using best practices in UX design.

Mature communication skills with the ability to drive constructive discussions respectfully.
Ability to explain complex matters simply.
Capable of creating a sense of urgency and fostering an atmosphere of openness.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Result-driven, maintaining quality without compromising speed.
Assertive, showing initiative, and a true team player.
Flexible in handling task switches and interruptions.

Fluent in both Dutch/English or French/English, with a very good command of the language in which you are not fluent.
